This workbook is designed to help you to tell your postpartum depression story.
While I was suffering with postpartum depression, I was terrified about telling anyone exactly how I was feeling and so I kept it all hidden inside.
It wasn’t until I started writing down what I felt, what I thought, and how my life was affected that I learned to accept and understand my condition.
The act of taking these dark thoughts, feelings and memories and putting them onto paper is therapeutic in itself and no one ever needs to see it.
One day, when you are better, you will be able to look back at what you went through, what you survived, and realize what a strong mother you have become because of it.
The day may come when you will want to share your story. This workbook can help you collect your thoughts and find the right words in order to make it easier to communicate them.
But even if that day never comes, this workbook can help you document your journey and be honest and open about what you are feeling – in an attempt to help you accept your condition and take the necessary steps towards healing.
